Acceptance (poem)

When you accept someone for who and what they are, there is no ‘but’ that follows…

Image entitled, “Acceptance”

True acceptance is saying ‘I love you, respect you, and accept you…just the way you are.’  But- if a ‘but’ follows after saying these words-you have not truly accepted the person, for who and what-they are.

  1. BUT means, forget everything I said before the word ‘but.’

    • EXACTLY, John!! I love it (NOT) when people tell me they love me…and you just KNOW..’but’ is coming up…it totally negates EVERYTHING that was said prior!
